ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Make a sandwich. Design a lunchbag. Write a note of encouragement to someone who needs a boost.
And maybe drink a free beer, too.
That is what the people at Hashtag Lunchbag Tampa Bay want you to do this this Sunday at 3 Daughters Brewing in St. Petersburg.

The monthly meetup is part of a national movement. Volunteers show up, pack hundreds of colorful bag lunches, and then deliver the food to homeless at nearby parks.
Afterwards, they return to the brewery for a complimentary adult beverage.
The Kickball Society of Tampa Bay sponsors the event and will provide food for the lunches.
“We’re sharing that common goal of wanting to give back, make a difference and show people they’re not forgotten about,” says the group’s Ariana Siller.

Families are welcome. Kids will be given markers to design bags and write notes.
The event starts at 11 a.m.
