Get a FREE flu shot and protect yourself before the holidays

PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. -- Before you know it, Christmas will be here and the cheer is already spreading, but so is the flu and experts say this season could end up being a bad flu season.

The Florida Department of Health in Pinellas County is marking National Influenza Week (December 3 through 9) with a day of flue vaccines at no cost on Wednesday, December 6 at its five centers.

Don't fall for the flu shot myths

From 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, you can visit one of the five locations to get a FREE flu shot: 

  • St. Petersburg: 205 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. St. N.
  • Pinellas Park: 6350 76th Ave N.
  • Mid-County (Largo): 8751 Ulmerton Rd.
  • Clearwater: 310 N. Myrtle Ave.
  • Tarpon Springs: 301 S. Disston Ave.
