Pinellas County deputies are conducting a death investigation that took place inside a gated community in Clearwater on Thursday night.
Around 8:15 p.m., deputies responded to the Top of the World Condos, a gated community located at 2426 Persian Drive.
Four crime scene vans, as well as several detectives, responded to the scene.
Investigators looking into the possibility of fouls play.
Detectives have been going door to door asking residents if they have any information.
The county medical examiner is also helping with the investigation.
A neighbor had called ABC Action News stating that a man who lived in apartment 34 had been gone for four days and that his body was found during a welfare check. This has not been confirmed by local authorities at this time as they work to investigate the circumstances of the death.
A Pinellas County Sheriff's Office Public Information Officer said that more information on the death investigation will be released later Friday morning.
