A 17-year-old Bayside High School student has been arrested after she reportedly threatened to shoot and kill a fellow high school student during a Facebook Live video.

Investigators say the victim's mother informed deputies of statements and images that were posted on social media on Tuesday, May 1. The 17-year-old student made threatening statements towards the other student on the Facebook broadcast while she was holding what appeared to be an AR-15 style rifle.

Deputies say the student is seen in the video talking to the victim stating "Let me just let you f***ing know, I stay strapped on go, 24 mother f***ing 7!" She is then seen picking up what appeared to be an AR-15 rifle that she displayed to the camera.

The video then shows the female student saying "A fat a** AR!!", "I'll shoot your dumba**!!"

The victim reportedly commented on the video and the student responded by threatening to shoot and kill the victim.

"When I saw it, I was upset. I was like she holding an assault rifle talking like she's going to shoot my child and there is other kids in the video talking about my baby that don't even know anything about my baby, you know what I'm saying. When does it stop," Tasha, the victim's mother, said.

The victim told detectives she was being bullied by the student at Bayside High School, where they both attended high school.

Deputies made contact with the student in question at her home and deputies confirmed she did not have access to firearms in her home.

The student was arrested for written threats to kill or do bodily injury, electronic communication and was transported to the Pinellas County Juvenile Assessment Center without incident.

The Sheriff's Office says they will continue to investigate all complaints of this nature and they are encouraging the public to report any suspicious activity to law enforcement immediately and they will be sure to investigate all reported information.

The investigation is ongoing.
