A 41-year-old man was arrested Friday morning after sexually abusing two children under the age of 12.
Gil Martinez reportedly entered the room of the underage children while they were sleeping.
The victims did not consent to any of Martinez's alleged acts. One of the victims would pretend to be asleep and lie frozen in bed because she did not know what to do.
According to the affidavit, the victim would lock and barricade the door but Martinez was still able to get in.
This went on from August of 2011 to May of 2017. The mentioned victim told deputies that she figured if she let this happen, Martinez would leave her sibling alone, whom was sleeping on the bunk bed above her.
Martinez was also sexually abusing her sister without the mentioned victim's knowledge. While Martinez would attempt to kiss her and make advances, she said "no" and tried to fight him off.
The victim told deputies that she realized he was doing the same thing to her sister, whom she is very protective of, causing her to hit Martinez and try to get him away from her sister.
When the first mentioned victim learned of this, she had to come forward to disclose what happened to her.
The probable cause is based on the victims' statements and the child protection team examination.
