OLDSMAR, Fla. -- Deputies the deaths of two people in Oldsmar they concluded to be a murder-suicide.
The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office responded to a call from a condominium in the Eastlake Woodlands Country Club neighborhood Tuesday night.
No one answered the door when deputies arrived at the condominium around 10:14 p.m. The deputies made a forced entry inside the condominium and found the bodies of 51-year-old Benjamin First and a 52-year-old woman. Both had been shot.
The slain woman's family told detectives they were worried for the woman's safety because of a history of apparent domestic violence between the her and First.
First was charged with aggravated battery, battery, domestic battery by strangulation, tampering with a witness and grand theft in 2015.
Officials did not specify if the 52-year-old woman was the victim of the 2015 incident.
