CLEARWATER, Fla. -- The Clearwater Threshers will be saying "thank you" to the first responders who keep us all safe.

The MiLB team is offering free admission to Saturday night's game against the Daytona Tortugas to police, deputies and firefighters. Their family members can get into the First Responders Tribute Game for just $5.

"So often, the first responders work events like this so it will be a great night to enjoy some baseball," said Clearwater Threthers media manager Robert Stretch.

Before the game, firefighters from Clearwater and St. Petersburg will be competing in a charity softball game at Spectrum Field. All proceeds go to a foundation that helps first responders and their families.
