The Clearwater Police Department is holding two school supply drives to aid Clearwater kids in need go back to school.
The department's command bus will be at the Walmart Neighborhood Market at the corner of Belcher Road and Gulf-to-bay Boulevard Friday from 3-7 p.m.. The bus will also be at Walmart Super center on State Road 590 and U.S. 19 Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m..
"When you're buying school supplies for your child, please pick up a couple of
extra items for those who are less fortunate," said Sgt. Wilton Lee, head of
the community liaison team. "If everybody does a small part, we can make a big
difference in our community."
