CLEARWATER, Fla. -- Firefighters in Clearwater are mourning the loss of one of their own.
The Clearwater Fire and Rescue Department took to social media to announce that Quincy, the department's arson dog, had recently died at the age of 12. Clearwater Fire posted an emotional video of Quincy receiving hugs from his friends at the fire station.
It's a sad day for our agency as we mourn the loss of Quincy, our arson dog who served the city for six years before retiring last year. He received a final radio call and hugs from our personnel. He had been suffering from serious health issues lately. Quincy was 12 years old. pic.twitter.com/JYG0t0tJmp

"It's a sad day for our agency," Clearwater Fire said in part on their Twitter account.
Clearwater Fire said Quincy retired last year after serving the Clearwater community for six years.
