CLEARWATER, Fla. — This Thanksgiving being grateful has all the trimmings at Peace Memorial Presbyterian Church.

"I like to see the smiles on the people’s faces and their gratitude," said volunteer Janet Veihman.

Ten years ago, volunteers from six churches started a Thanksgiving dinner to feed the homeless, now anyone who needs somewhere to go for Thanksgiving is welcome. The Community Thanksgiving was at the Peace Memorial Presbyterian Church of Clearwater this year and served hundreds of people a traditional Thanksgiving dinner.

"I was actually getting on the bus to go to Walmart and saw everyone gathered here so I came in and was so pleasantly surprised," said Christina Cuccinello.

Like hundreds of others who showed up, Cuccinello didn’t have anywhere else to spend Thanksgiving.

"I’m just in awe that so many people have the heart and the soul to cook and serve and do it with such joy in their hearts," said Cuccinello.
