ST. PETE BEACH, Fla. — The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office and the Tampa Bomb Team are investigating a training grenade found in the bushes outside of the Don Cesar hotel in St. Pete Beach.
Deputies were called around 11:30 a.m. on Friday. Authorities say it is not explosive.
It was found by lawn care workers and seems to have been there for awhile, deputies say.
There is no danger to the public, according to the sheriff's office. The investigation is ongoing.
No other information was immediately available.
