PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. — Detectives say a woman in Pinellas County is facing charges after she passed out inside a Dunkin Donuts, leaving an infant unattended for over half an hour.

Detectives say the baby was sitting in a soiled diaper, with long nails and an untreated diaper rash. They later found heroin, Valium and Adderall inside the diaper bag that 28-year-old Sarah Infante had with her.

Employees in the store told detectives Infante was in the bathroom with the child for over half an hour. When they knocked they received no response but could hear the child crying. When she exited the bathroom, Infante put the child in a high chair and slumped over.

Employees say she was passed out for over 40 minutes. Authorities who were called say Infante was lethargic and had foggy eyes.

Infante consented to a search of her things. Authorities found heroin, Valium and Adderall inside the baby's diaper bag. They also found a rolled up $20 bill inside Infante's bra.

Child Protection Investigators say the baby boy was "dirty and smelly," and sitting in an old soiled diaper. She is facing a felony charge for neglect of a child without great bodily harm.
