CLEARWATER, Fla. — Calling all artists! Sunsets at Pier 60 Society Inc. is looking for an artist to create a large-scale sculpture to help promote recycling during the 2020 Pier 60 Sugar Sand Festival.

According to the St. Pete Arts Alliance, the sculpture "will be a functioning piece of art that will hold empty water and soda bottles to showcase recycling efforts on the beach during the 17-day event," which will be held April 10 through April 26, 2020.

The artist, or team of artists, selected to create the original work of art will have a $4,000 budget to work with, but must create the piece to withstand the elements on the beach.

If you're interested in being selected you must submit your proposal by August 1, 2019 along with your design concept and price estimate to Angela Benak at angela@sugarsandfestival.com.
