3 armed robbery suspects lead police on chase after robbing Tarpon Springs woman, police say

PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. — Three armed robbery suspects were arrested after leading police on a chase on Sunday.

Tarpon Springs police said they responded to the 1000 block of Lancer Lane around 7:50 a.m. in reference to an armed robbery.

A victim told detectives she was followed home from her workplace in Tampa by suspects.

She said when she got home one of the suspects approached her, pointed a gun at her and took her belongings from her while the second suspect removed items from her front seat, police said.

The suspects left the area and were spotted by police. A Tarpon Springs police vehicle attempted to stop the suspects, however, they refused to stop and a pursuit ensued.

Pinellas County units continued the pursuit which ended on I-4 in Polk County.

Police said two men and a woman are now in custody.

Tarpon Springs police anticipate charges for the suspects of the armed robbery.
