LARGO, Fla. — One person is dead after a deadly vehicle versus motorcycle crash Saturday night.
Largo police said on Saturday at 10:40 a.m., officers responded to the area of S Missouri Ave. and Bayview Dr. for a vehicle versus motorcycle deadly crash.
A 2019 Can-Am and 2016 Jeep Cherokee were traveling northbound on S Missouri Ave.
Witnesses said the Jeep was traveling at a high rate of speed and changed lanes striking the Can-AM.
The driver of the Can-Am was thrown from the vehicle and died on the scene as a result of the injuries.
The driver of the Jeep left the area.
Officers later found the Jeep as well as the registered owner near the vehicle.
The registered owner of the Jeep, Alexa Elisabella Nix, was identified by witnesses as the driver of the Jeep.
Nix was later found at fault for the crash.
She was arrested for a DUI, manslaughter, leaving the scene of a crash involving death and obstruction by disguised person.
