Rescues underway in Pasco County as Tropical Storm Hermine moves farther inland

Emergency rescue crews are responding to multiple coastal areas of Pasco County as more than a dozen residents have been forced from their homes as Tropical Storm Hermine makes its way across the area. 

Pasco County Fire Rescue and Pasco County Sheriff's deputies are on scene with with high-water vehicles and they are rescuing people from the rising floodwaters and transporting them to area shelters. 

Officials say at least 18 people have been evacuated. 

Pasco County Emergency Management is reminding residents to avoid floodwaters and to never drive through water of any depth.
