PASCO COUNTY, Fla. — A Pasco County substitute teacher was arrested Saturday after deputies say he got into a fight at a sports bar in Wesley Chapel.

It happened at about 2:07 a.m. at Joe Whiskey's Sports Bar located at 27417 Wesley Chapel Blvd.

Jason Michael Mills, 48, entered the bar and was engaged in a verbal altercation with a bartender, and then with the victim, who is a bouncer at the business.

Mills reportedly then tried to punch the bouncer. However, the bouncer instead punched him, causing him to fall to the ground. He was detained until law enforcement arrived.

Multiple witnesses identified Mills as the aggressor of the altercation. He was extremely intoxicated and belligerent when law enforcement arrived.

He was arrested for misdemeanor simple battery.
