PASCO COUNTY, Fla. — A Pasco County Sheriff's Corporal was arrested for driving under the influence after crashing into a parked vehicle.

It involved Steven Walker of Spring Hill, who was the only one in the vehicle.

According to the affidavit, once authorities arrived on scene, his eyes appeared glossy and alcohol could be smelled on his breath.

Authorities say that when Walker was explaining the details of the crash, he used "swooshing" sounds, spontaneously laughed and did not appear to be taking the matter seriously.

The deputy said Walker's normal faculties were impaired to an extent to which he could no longer operate a motor vehicle in a safe manner.

Walker refused to perform field sobriety exercises and refused to supply a breath sample.

He is charged with DUI and DUI (damage to property or person). Walker was served his termination papers Monday.
