Team Liquid's Du "NuckleDu" Dang won the 2016 Capcom Cup championship in Anaheim, California this past week.

Du Dang, grew up in the Tampa Bay region, and knew he didn't want to find a job that would just be a 9-5, "I didn't expect all of this though."

Dang has mastered the Street Fighter V series on Play Station 4, where he has won eight championships in the second half of this year.

"If I take a one day break, I'm not at the same level anymore," he said.

The past championship he won, gave him a more than $200,000 paycheck and has put him on the world map as the best.

"My inbox is just full," he said.

The twenty year-old has spent his time mastering the game and says he doesn't play it for fun, "its stressful."

Dang says he realized he could do this professionally when he signed his first autograph and got a paycheck that would pay his rent for the month.

Since then, Dang has traveled around the country and plans to possibly compete this month in China.

Dang's advice to someone wanting to follow his road, find the best in your area and beat them.

Even though he's on the world stage, he takes part in local tournaments weekly in Largo as part of 'Gamers On the Edge.'
