PASCO COUNTY, Fla. — New jobs are coming to Pasco County after commissioners approve a tax incentive plan to draw in a new business.
Tucked back in the northwest corner of the Suncoast Parkway and State Road 54, is going to be a new business bringing new jobs to Pasco County.
TouchPoint Medical makes high-tech hospital equipment. Now, they’re bringing their global headquarters along with more than 200 jobs to Pasco.
"We felt very good when we looked at this area to attract, retain, and motivate talent," said Brian McNeill, TouchPoint CEO.
Nearly 80 percent of people who live in Pasco, work outside of the county. In the next few years, TouchPoint Medical plans to create 116 new jobs, paying an average of $57,000. That's $21,000 more than the current Pasco County average.
"They’re making opportunities for our hard-working individuals and our families," said Bill Cronin of the Pasco Economic Development Commission.
By the end of next yeaTouchPointint plans to consolidate it’s Oldsmar, Atlanta and Connecticut locations into the new Pasco building, making a $23 million investment in the county.
