Attention, drivers: The Pasco County Sheriff's Office will be conducting a DUI checkpoint from 11 p.m. until 1 a.m. on Friday, June 24.
The agency's traffic enforcement section is collaborating with other law enforcement agencies to conduct the checkpoint in the area of Mile Stretch Drive in Holiday.
The purpose? To catch impaired drivers and bright light to the dangers of driving while impaired.
According to PCSO, there were over 300 alcohol and or drug related crashes in Pasco County. Drivers caught driving impaired could face jail time, suspended licenses, fines or insurance increases.
