A Dade City man was arrested after reportedly hitting an elderly man with a frying pan and stealing $400 from him.
It happened on May 3 at 5:30 p.m.and started when Ernesto Flores was at the man's house drinking beer with another tenant.
At some point, deputies say Flores confronted the elderly man in the bathroom and hit him in the head with a frying pan. The man says Flores took his wallet with $400 cash inside. The elderly man is 68 years old and gets a disability check.
Flores got a ride and left the area onto Island Ave., where the elderly man chased him until he was out of sight.
Flores was ultimately arrested 13 days later and charged with armed robbery and aggravated battery.
