A 27-year-old man was shot and later died at a local hospital after being found in an intersection in Dade City, and another man was wounded, according to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office.
Demetrius Lott, 27, of 13551 Wilson St. in Dade City, and Daryll Collins, 44, of 38301 Tuskeegee Avenue in Dade City, were found with gunshot wounds at the intersection of Johnson St. and Dixie Drive, according to PCSO, around 6 p.m. on Friday.
Both men were taken to local hospitals, but Lott died from his injuries. Collins is in critical condition.
Antonie Lee Kennedy, 35, of 38726 Island Drive, was on scene when deputies arrived. He was arrested for felon in possession of a firearm, and is under investigation for the shooting.
Witnesses are being sought by authorities. Anyone with information is being encouraged to call PCSO.
