The Pasco County Extension is hosting a potato control workshop for home and property owners who want more information on keeping the invasive plant at bay.

The workshop will be held from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the UF/IFAS Pasco County Extension office at 36702 State Road 52 in Dade City.

During the workshop, the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services will provide air potato beetles as door prizes. The beetles are used to control air potato plants without harming any other species.

The beetles will be given away as door prizes.

The workshop costs $15 per person, and pre-registration is required.
