PASCO COUNTY, Fla. -- At least five people are being evaluated by firefighters, including a child, after a crash in Pasco County Thursday evening.

The Pasco County Fire Rescue responded to a call of a crash at the intersection of Hudson Avenue and Little Road in Bayonet Point.

Firefighters said a child was ejected from the vehicle in the crash and was transported to the hospital as a trauma alert. They say it appears the child was not wearing a seat belt.

Another child was also taken to the hospital. No information is available at this time on the condition of the children.

"Remember to always buckle up. Seat belts save lives," Pasco Fire Rescue said.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
