A Largo woman is in jail for exposing her entire naked body to three children at an apartment complex pool along South Belcher Road, according to police. The children are ages 6, 10 and 13.

Police say 57-year-old Gloria Coffman had been drinking when she walked up to the pool wearing only a robe, then dropped the robe in front of the children and one of their fathers.

"Would like to think he could go to the pool and be safe" Shane McGahan said. He lives next to the pool and also has a 6-year-old son, who was not present during the incident.

"(Because I have a 6-year-old son) it's kind of frightening to hear that" he said.

"She's had this kind of thing before, just never blown up this way" Casey Coffman, Gloria Coffman's son said.

Casey Coffman says his mother is a veteran, has had mental issues for several years and also has problems with alcohol abuse. He admits his mother has had problems in the past, but says she's never done anything like this.

"I'm terribly sorry for that and I'm embarrassed, but that was not my mother that day. That is the farthest thing from my mother" Casey Coffman said.

"I don't believe she's a bad person in any way" Cassi Harbuck, regional manager for the property company, said.

Harbuck also says she's seen signs of mental illness and doesn't believe Coffman exposed herself to those children intentionally. But, she is still going through the process of kicking Coffman out of the complex. She tells ABC Action News, Coffman has a week to move out.

"She is a good person. She does need help and I pray she finds it outside of this community. But she won't be staying here" Harbuck said.

Harbuck says Coffman is a part of a federal veteran's living assistance program where the VA pays for at least a portion of her rent. She has notified Coffman's VA caseworker of the incident and impending move.
