Largo Police arrested a 31-year-old woman on child neglect charges after the 3-year-old boy she was caring for tested positive for cocaine. ER staff at All Children's Hospital in St. Pete discovered the boy was suffering from a brain hemorrhage as well.

According to police, Krystle Culbertson took the boy to the ER because the child was vomiting and had a headache. Culbertson admitted to police that she bought cocaine two days earlier, but wouldn't give any information on how the child obtained the drug.

Police can't determine if the cocaine caused the brain hemorrhage, but according to staff at the Tampa Poison Center, the cocaine likely contributed to the life-threatening ailment.

"It would be a reasonable implication that the cocaine caused the hemorrhage or brain bleed." Fred Aleguas, Tampa Poison Center, said.

Police say the boy was placed into medical foster care by the Florida Department of Children and Families. Police say the boy is doing much better.
