Woman arrested after reportedly shooting at Duke Energy truck during road rage incident on I-275

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. — A Plant City woman was arrested in Hillsborough County after she reportedly shot at a Duke Energy truck during an apparent road rage incident on I-275 on Wednesday. 

Destiny Star Harrison, 24, of Plant City, was operating a 1998 Lincoln Navigator when she fired several shots at a 2017 Ford F150 Duke Energy truck driven by Giovanni Garcia, 37, of Altamonte Springs, according to FHP. 

Troopers responded to the area and found Harrison had lost control of the Lincoln and entered the center median near Dale Mabry Highway. Harrison was arrested by FHP troopers and transported to the Hillsborough County Jail. 

She has been charged with shooting into an occupied vehicle, aggravated assault with a firearm, improper exhibition of a dangerous firearm, using a firearm while under the influence of an alcoholic beverage or chemical substance, possession of controlled substance, possession of marijuana over 20 grams, alteration or removal of firearm serial number, DUI, no valid driver license and a warrant for VOP-Improper exhibition of a dangerous firearm.
