TAMPA, Fla. — Summer is quickly approaching and that means it is time to think about what your children will do during their summer break.
The City of Tampa offers summer camp programs during the 10-weeks between the end and start of the school year.

The R.E.C. Summer Camp is the city's traditional summer camp. Kids can participate in various activities, crafts, games and even field trips.
The cost is $80 per child and includes one camp T-shirt. The cost of field trips are not included in the fee for the camps that have them.
Registration opens for city residents online at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, March 25. In-person registration begins on Tuesday, March 26.
Non-residents can register starting at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, April 1.
The city offers financial assistance to camp participants 17 and younger who are city residents and qualify financially.
Tampa also offers Specialty Camps for kids interested in Fine Arts, Sports and Aquatics. The price is between $40 and $200 per child depending on the specific camp.
