TAMPA, Fla. — Tampa Police are looking for a gunman who shot a man on the Columbus Drive Bridge Tuesday afternoon.
According to investigators, the shooting happened around 1:30 p.m. in Tampa.
Tampa Police told ABC Action News the victim had just pulled out of the Columbus Court Apartments when he was hit by a bullet.
Police say that caused the victim to veer into oncoming traffic and collide with an SUV occupied by two people. They were not hurt.
The victim got out of his car and ran.
According to police, he arrived at a nearby hospital before police arrived at the scene. He is said to have non-life-threatening injuries.
Police closed the Columbus Drive Bridge while investigators gathered evidence, but it has since reopened.
Tampa Police say they currently do not have descriptions of the shooting suspect or vehicle.
