TAMPA, Fla. — All over a street in the Fawn Lake subdivision near Citrus Park Mall, people found nails embedded in pieces of hose.

A tow truck showed up Thursday morning to Ed Palaez’s house to remove and dispose of a shredded tire on his Chevy.

"What are you going to do? It’s just crazy. Hopefully they will come up with somebody doing this,” he said.

“They were on the ground and you just run over them," said Palaez.

Jadie Nutall also lost a tire. And just can’t understand who would do this.

“Like who has the time for this? Why? You don’t have anything better to do with your life," said Jadie Nutall.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is investigating, and hoping someone saw something.

“If you are doing this, what else are you capable of? Do we need to have cameras set up everywhere?" asked Nutall.

The damage could have been even worse.

Several of those nail devices were picked up on the street before anyone ran over them.
