Crews with Tampa Water Department are working to repair a water main break on Kennedy Boulevard between North Rome Avenue and North Howard Avenue and multiple lane closures are in place while they make repairs.

Westbound traffic on Kennedy Boulevard is being reduced to one lane and diverted to eastbound travel lanes. Eastbound traffic is also being reduced to one lane while the repairs are made. There are barricades and signs in the area to assist with traffic flow. Crews say modifications to lane closures may be necessary throughout the course of the day.
RECOMMENDED: Lane closures on Channelside Drive and Old Water Street expected through January 2019
The repairs are expected to be completed by 5 p.m. on Friday and roadway restoration and normal traffic patterns should be completed by Saturday at 5 p.m.
