HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. — The Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners voted 7-0 on Wednesday to dissolve the Emergency Policy Group (EPG).
The move will restore all emergency management authority delegated to the EPG back to the board.

According to the meeting's agenda, that will include emergency management authority for all disasters, hurricanes/tropical storms, emergency occurrences, pandemics, or threats thereof.
According to the ordinance, it would take effect as soon as it's filed with the Florida Department of State.
