HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. — Hillsborough County deputies ran into the same pedestrian that was hit and killed during a crash early Sunday morning, officials said.
The Florida Highway Patrol said one vehicle hit a pedestrian who was walking in an unlighted portion of a six-lane highway near George Road.
The pedestrian was hit and killed from the impact of the crash, officials said.
Two other vehicles were involved in the crash as well.
As Hillsborough County deputies were responding, they ran over the same pedestrian that was hit and killed during the crash, officials said.
The crash closed the eastbound lanes of SR-580 for several hours.
