TAMPA, Fla. — The popular downtown Tampa bar, Franklin Manor, will not be allowed to serve alcohol for a week in April following a decision by the city council.

Thursday, the council voted and agreed to suspend the Franklin's license starting at 7 a.m. on April 1 and lasting until 3 a.m. on April 8.

The decision comes after a dispute over noise. Residents in condos near the bar have complained about it.

If the bar doesn't comply, the suspension could be increased to 60 days.

ABC Action News has reached out to Franklin Manor for comment, but have not heard back.
