DOVER, Fla. — A man died after being struck on CSX train tracks in Dover Sunday night.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said the man got out of his Ford Mustang, at approximately 11 p.m., after it got stuck on the train tracks on Dr MLK Blvd & Sydney Dover Rd. While trying to free his car an oncoming train struck his car, which struck him.
Deputies said the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. At this time, his identity has not been released.
It's unknown how the driver's car got stuck on the tracks. An investigation is underway.
