TAMPA, Fla. – A local community is putting its finishing touches on a new Black Lives Matter mural in Tampa.
The mural is being painted on the side of a Tampa Heights law office.
The idea came from a white middle school teacher who wanted a way for his current and former Black students to express themselves following the death of George Floyd.
Cameron Samuel, 11, was spotted working on the mural.
“We need to keep sending the message to people that Black lives matter as much as any other life,” Cameron said. “It’s not just black and white. It’s all the lives around the glove.
The mural is located at 3303 North Tampa Street.
