HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol is searching for the driver who fled the scene after crashing into a business Sunday morning.

The Florida Highway Patrol said the vehicle was headed southbound on US-301 when the driver lost control.

The vehicle struck a raised median and caused the car to go airborne multiple times. The vehicle finally came to a stop when it collided with a business, the Tribble Law Center.

FHP said the vehicle also collided with a wooden private fence that fell and caused damage to a utility pole.

After the crash, the driver left the area.

The vehicle and the business then became engulfed in flames, FHP said.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact FHP by calling (813) 558-1800.
