TAMPA, Fla. — A Tampa non-profit is a little safer this morning thanks to some ABC Action News viewers.
Around New Year's Day, the Autism Awareness Thrift Shop was burglarized.

But after seeing our story, businesses and viewers came out to help.
Digital Age Technologies and Flying Locksmith's were able to add cameras and new locks to their building.
"Oh my goodness! We are beyond excited, and thankful, and grateful because of your program and because of your coverage we got so many large financial donations," says owner, Jenifer Band.
Viewers also helped raised thousands of dollars for extra security and to help those in our community with Autism.
