HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. — Four suspects were arrested in a cockfighting ring in Hillsborough County.
On Monday morning, deputies executed a search warrant with animal control at 3727 70th St. S.
Deputies on scene reportedly observed items related to an illegal cockfighting ring.
The Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center seized about 60 roosters and four dogs.
Deputies also found a stolen firearm from a 2015 Pasco County case and a small amount of marijuana.
The following people were arrested and charged:
1. Irma Arcaya, 54

2. Rogel Martinez Perez, 76
Charges: Owning Equipment for Animal Fighting, Possession of Animal for Fight
3. Pedro Rodriguez, 54
Charges: Owning Equipment for Animal Fighting, Possession of Animal for Fight
4. Lazo Fernandez, 71
Charges: Owning Equipment for Animal Fighting, Possession of Animal for Fight
