TAMPA, Fla. — Three people were shot in Tampa Tuesday night, Tampa police said.

Police said they responded to a report of a shooting in the 3800 block of E. Norfolk St.

When officers arrived, they found two men with not life-threatening gunshot wounds to the upper body. They were both transported to a local hospital.

As officers were leaving the area on Norfolk St., more officers responded to another shooting on N. 40th St. near E. Fern St.

Officers arrived at that second location and found a woman with a gunshot wound to her upper body. She was transported to a local hospital in serious condition, police said.

Police said the shootings appear to be related as they were so close together. Officers said the incidents do not appear to be random.
