3 men arrested after alleged shooting on Interstate 4, police say

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. — Police say three men are behind bars after shooting at an SUV on Interstate 4.

According to police, on February 21, a 40-year-old Jacksonville man was driving east on I-4 in Hillsborough County when another car sped past him and almost hit him.

The driver of the car was Jaquayne Davis, 24. Troopers say he and his two passengers, Nasir Hanton 23, and Jahnoy Palmer 21, shot at the SUV.

Investigators say Palmer told them he started shooting as they were run off the road and Davis says he shot at the SUV in fear for his life.

Six bullet holes were found on the SUV.

The FHP says troopers arrested the men at a rest stop and seized three guns, two were reported stolen.

The men are charged with grand theft of a firearm, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, shooting at a vehicle, and direct discharge of a firearm from a vehicle.
