2 arrested after deadly shooting in Hillsborough County

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. — Two people were arrested after a deadly shooting in Hillsborough County Saturday.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said just before 6 p.m., deputies responded to a home on the 12000 block of 11th Street North.

When deputies arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital but later died from his injuries.

Detectives were able to track down a vehicle that was believed to be involved in the shooting.

Detectives later arrested Derek De Andre De More, 24, and Michelle Rodriguez, 24, in connection with the shooting.

De More was charged with carrying a concealed firearm and tampering with physical evidence. Rodriguez was charged with tampering with physical evidence.

"I want to applaud the work of our detectives,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. "They were able to track down all parties believed to be involved in this shooting within just a few hours. Their hard work and dedication have made our community safer tonight."

This is still an active investigation.
