Temple Terrace Police arrested a woman they say shoplifted from Publix, then left a child in her care at the store after she was confronted by loss prevention.
According to police, 36-year-old Angela Rocha walked out of the store with nearly $200 worth of merchandise before fleeing the scene without the child she went to the grocery store with.
Police have redacted much of the report, but according to her roommate, she was at the store with her teenage daughter and infant grandchild.
The report states that Rocha refused to return to the store when the child called her over the phone. Police eventually called Rocha, persuading her to return.
