Hernando County deputies are searching for an absconded sexual predator who on May 23 disappeared from supervision at his Hernando Beach home.

Robert Roy Smith Jr. is a registered sexual predator and he may be traveling in a white 2001 Hyundai Sonata GLS bearing Florida tag HQNX06, and may be headed to an unknown location in Pinellas County.
Smith is described as 5-feet, 10-inches tall and weighs about 225 pounds. He has partially grey hair and hazel eyes.
