CITRUS COUNTY, Fla. - Reports and screen grabs from the Suncoast Standard show a hacked Citrus County Property Appraiser website hacked by “Iranian Hackers.”
The photos online by the Suncoast Standard show writing in Persian with the text below that reads “We Will Avenge.”
No group has come forward to claim responsibility for the hack. The only information is that the sites were “Hacked By Iranian Hackers.”
Citrus County Tax Appraiser, Les Cook CFA released this statement on Facebook:
"You may have seen that our Property Appraiser website has supposedly been hacked. The issue is being addressed and we hope to have our page back up very soon.
