A Lecanto father is accused of beating his juvenile son with a wet mop.
Dale Dicke, 34, is now facing child abuse charges.
According to Citrus County deputies, Dicke believed his 13-year-old son had stolen $100 from his mother.
The boy insisted he had not stolen any money.
Deputies say the attack was so violent, the mop was broken in half.
According to the boy, when the mop broke, his father began throwing chairs at him as well as a baby gate.
Deputies say Dicke was intoxicated.
He is being held without bond.
