Polk deputies need assistance identifying copper thief

MULBERRY, Fla. — Detectives with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office are asking for the public’s help in identifying a copper thief.

An unidentified man entered a white van at Engineered Electrical Services in the 500 block of Prairie Industrial Parkway in Mulberry and removed two rolls of the precious metal. The incident occurred at approximately 10 p.m. on November 30.

The suspect is a black male, stands approximately 6’ 6’’ tall with a medium build. He appears to be in his 40s per a report issued by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office. If you recognize the man in the surveillance video, please contact Detective Berganza at 863-499-200 or 863-298-6200.
