New app helps lower your traffic ticket

It's a feeling no one likes; the blue and red lights behind you and you're getting pulled over.

So, not only are you most likely going to get a ticket but you're also going to pay hundreds of dollars you probably can't spare and get points on your license.

But, there may be help for you.

A Florida designed app called TIKD is now in Tampa Bay. We spoke to the Founder and CEO who says it all started when he got pulled over in Miami.

"Nationwide, about 95% of people just pay, despite the costs, despite you're entering a plea of guilty, and despite the fact that it makes your insurance go up on average of $1,000 over the next 3 years. 95% of people just pay their tickets," says Chris Riley, Founder and CEO of TIKD.

Here's how it works:

  • You submit your ticket by taking a photo on TIKD.com.
  • They'll ask you to pay about 20% less than the cost of your ticket.
  • TIKD will also take care of hiring lawyers to appear in court on your behalf so you don't have to do anything else.
  • The company guarantees you won't get any points on your license but, if you do they will pay your fine and refund your money. Learn more here.
