It’s no secret that President Obama is a huge sports fan. He participates in “March Madness” every year and releases his picks to the public. A die-hard Chicago fan, he holds no punches when rivals visit the White House. He’ll even settle his scores on the court, and talk a little trash in the process.

Which makes it all the stranger that he often avoids making predictions when it comes to the Super Bowl. According to SB Nation, the Obama has only publicly made a prediction about one Super Bowl since he’s been in office. In 2008, just days after his inauguration, he correctly guessed that the Steelers would “eke it out in the end” against the Arizona Cardinals in Super Bowl XLIII.

Since then, Obama has always deflected the answer — until today.

With Sunday marking his final Super Bowl in office, CBS scored an interview and convinced him to pick a winner — with his pick to be revealed on Monday’s CBS This Morning with Gayle King.

However, cameras caught a peak of the president making his pick. It seems as if the President is picking the Carolina Panthers to top the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 50.
